Another one of Meg Cabot's teen books based on relatable heroines. Samantha is a talented artist, but an outcast. The only time any of the popular girls talk to her is to buy a protrait of themselves with Justin Timberlake or Heath Ledger. When Sam's mother discovers her sketches in her German notebook, she enrolls Sam in art class as as a creative outlet. Sam immediately hates the idea of art class, and decided to skip her second lesson. While skipping, she jumps the man that is about to shoot the president of the United States and becomes a national hero overnight. In the process of this newfound fame, Sam must deal with her new popularity, the crush she has on her popular sister's older boyfriend, and the fact that she might just be falling in love with the president's son.
